Reference month September 2026. FBoS labels the year-on-year rate 'month-on-month inflation rate [compared with September 2025]' - the bracket shows it is the 12-month change and that is what is served; the 'average annual rate of inflation' on the same page (1.9%) is the 12-month moving average and is NOT served. Unlike the June-titled page (whose body was May), the July, August and September 2026 pages each report their own month. July 5.7% and August 7.6% added to history from their own pages; June 2026 was never published as its own month. Landed 2026-10-08.
